NEUROBIOLOGY
Fluofarma's contract research services in neuroscience focus on central nervous system (CNS) disorders. We offer to validate drug targets and test neuroactive compounds through customized cell-based assays & quantitative biomarker analysis in brain tissues. Our cell-to-tissue approach delivers solid preclinical proof-of- concepts for CNS drug development.
To study biomarkers and their topographic distribution, Fluofarma couples tissue microarray (TMA) technology with automated tissue imaging. Series of tissue specimens are assembled in the same TMA and analyzed simultaneously, thus ensuring optimal and reproducible results. Fluofarma‘s in-house capacities include:
> Brain tissue sampling & processing
> Brain TMA construction
> Multiplexed immunostaining (immunofluorescence or immunohistochemistry detection)
> Automated imaging of tissue sections or TMAs
> Quantitative biomarker analysis: multiplexed quantification of biomarker expression levels and subcellular localization using dedicated image segmentation and data analysis software applications.
