LUNG FIBROSIS

Purpose of the study: Quantification of fibrotic percentage of in bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis murine model.

          

Images have been processed using a texture analysis method thereby measuring the compactness feature in the lung tissue, to quantify the percentage of fibrosis. Therefore, we are able to process several kind of staining including HE, Sirius Red, Masson Trichrome etc.

The results of our method have been compared to the results of pathologists after the processing of a bank of image. Significantly positive results have been obtained, since highly corroborating the pathologists scoring (see the Spearman and Pearson coefficients bellow).
