Assays development

Optimize your drug discovery pipeline

Fluofarma Bioengineering Division designs and implements innovative tailored cell-based assays optimized for your drug-discovery process in order to satisfy your specific needs, enhance your pipeline and help you to bring innovative drugs to the market in a shorter time.

Customization and miniaturization

Fluofarma offers a wide range of bioengineering services such as adapting assays described in the scientific literature into industrial standards, transferring assays from a specific detection platform to a different one, or transferring ex vivo assays into high-throughput cell biology.

Innovative assay development

We can also develop completely new and innovative assays using the biosensor, the cellular model, the detection system and the plate format that best fits your needs.

Fluofarma’s bioengineering services include:

► Customization of cell-based assays

- Adaptation of an available assay from one platform to another, e.g., imaging to flow cytometry
- Adaptation of an assay from a cell line to primary cultures or 3D microtissues

► Miniaturization and automation of cellular assays:

- Adaptation of a published assay to industrial quality standards
- Transfer of a low-throughput cellular assay to a 96-or 384-well plates format

► Development of cell-based assays:

- Design of a new assay based on available reagents
- Development of a new assay based on innovative biosensors
