Drug characterization

Focused screening

Fluofarma has developed a panel of over 600 functional and phenotypic assays to characterize your test compounds on cell-based models of human diseases, on primary cell cultures or 3D microtissue cultures. Our cell-based models enable a reliable screening focused on specific pathologies and thus precisely characterize the effects of your drugs and predict its therapeutic potential.

Example of drug characterization in neurobiology

Fluofarma has developed cellular models that mimic neurodegenerative disease. Those models are based on primary cultures of neurons grown in presence of neurodegeneration inducers. As shown by the Figure below, drug characterization using those models allows the precise assessment of your compound’s effect and affinity to its target.

Drug Characterization

Example of drug characterization in oncology

Fluofarma has a large panel of cancer cell lines which are representative of the major tumor types, as well as engineered cell lines over expressing specific targets for more focused screening.
These cell-based tools enable allow the identification of drugs which act on a specific cancer type or a specific molecular target.
